Fiat Lux Scholars Program CatCourses Page

 The Fiat Lux Scholars Program will be using the Cat Courses platform (Canvas) to provide you with a better experience in tracking your program requirements. 

 

We will be e-mailing incoming scholars in the program over the summer with additional details and information regarding our Fiat Lux Cat Courses page (Canvas).  

 

Please view the steps below to ensure that you successfully enroll in our Cat Courses course. (For frequently asked questions regarding the Fiat Lux Scholars Program Cat Courses page, please scroll to the bottom of this webpage).

 

Step 1: Accept the invitation to be in The Fiat Lux Scholars Program Cat Courses Page

You will receive an e-mail from notifications@instrcture.com stating that you have been invited to participate in the Fiat Lux Scholars Program Course. It is important that you accept this invitation to utilize the Cat Courses portion of the Fiat Lux Scholars Program.  

 

Step 2: Once you accept, you should have "The Fiat Lux Scholars Program" Course in your Cat Courses Dashboard.

If you do not see this course in your Cat Courses Dashboard or are experiencing other issues, please reach out to us at fiatlux@ucmerced.edu

 

Step 3: You can view all program requirements unique to your standing. If you have questions about what requirements you need to complete please visit: (Program Requirements). 

Clicking on a requirement will provide details on how to submit it. In addition, checking your cat courses page will allow you to check the status of your requirements at your convenience instead of waiting for a weekly progress report.

Does the Fiat Lux Scholars Program Catcourses Course affect my GPA? 

Answer -No, the Fiat Lux Scholars Program CatCourses Course does not impact your GPA. The course is only used to track your program requirements, you will not receive a grade in the course. Having this course allows you to check your progress at any time instead of waiting for a weekly progress e-mail.

 

I submitted an assignment but never got any credit for it, what can I do? 

Answer -Any concerns regarding mistakes, missing grades, and/or inaccuracy of program requirements can be resolved by e-mailing fiatlux@ucmerced.edu. We will do our best to respond to your e-mail within a few days.

 

When will my assignment be graded?

Answer -If your assignment is not graded within a week of your attendance or submission please email the Fiat Lux account fiatlux@ucmerced.edu and we will review the assignment grade in a timely manner.
