The Fiat Lux Outreach and Retention student coordinator plays a vital role in assisting incoming (1st-Year) Fiat Lux Scholars with questions regarding the onboarding process and addressing challenges that students may face in their process of committing to the Fiat Lux Scholars Program. (In 250 words or less).
Fiat Lux Outreach and Retention Student Coordinator is expected to help onboard incoming first-year students to the Fiat Lux Scholars Program. You will be responsible for following up with students in regards to any challenges they may have during the onboarding process including financial aid concerns, housing concerns, student checklist concerns, etc. and provide the proper resources to assist them. (In 250 words or less).
As a Fiat Lux Outreach and Retention Student Coordinator, you will be communicating frequently with incoming (1st-year) Fiat Lux Scholars and will need to be aware of the resources available on campus to assist them in their transition to UC Merced. (In 250 words or less).

If selected, I acknowledge that I am making a year-long commitment to hold a student staff position with the Fiat Lux Scholars Program from Summer 2020 through Summer 2021. Please make note that this position requires 32-40 hours a week in the summer.
