Hello. As an alternative for the Faculty Reception requirement, you will be expected to complete a Faculty Story report. You will be expected to meet with any faculty member and interview them. A faculty member is a professor or lecturer at UC Merced. You must answer the following questions:
1) Briefly introduce your faculty member and the current work that they are doing at UC Merced.
2) What is one obstacle that they faced during their academic journey while in college.
3) A positive message they would like to share with their students.
We recommend guiding your interview around those questions. It must be a one-page essay, double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins. We recommend that you speak on how the faculty's responses relate to you or your commentary on the responses. Please upload your essay in the option below by May 1st, 2020 at 11:59 PM.
