Faculty Receptions RSVP for Scholars

Spring 2017 Faculty Receptions

 

Faculty Receptions are held monthly for students participating in the Fiat Lux Scholars Program.

The goals of the receptions include:

  1. Connecting students with faculty outside of the classroom
  2. Developing students networking and communication skills
  3. Providing a friendly atmosphere for students to explore courses, majors, research oppurtunities and careers with faculty.

If you do not have a class conflict (class conflicts will be verified), you must sign-up for ONE of the THREE Faculty Receptions this semester.  

Note: You must be present the whole time to recieve credit. If you have a class conflict, please fill out the class conflict portion of the form and once we verify the conflict, you will be exempt from the requirement.

Please select the date you will be attending the faculty reception? You can attend more then one, if you choose to. Please be sure to at least attend one.
Please list any diet restrictions you have (example: allergic to cheese, nuts, vegetarian, etc.)
Would you like an invitation to take to a faculty member? Fiat Lux Scholars Program Professional Staff have invitation cards you can pick up and give to invite faculty members. This is a great way for scholars to connect and engage with faculty. Or would you like us to invite a faculty member? If yes, please provide us with the name of the faculty member and we will reach out on your behalf.
If you are unable to attend Faculty Receptions due to a class conflict, please provide us with the class information (subject, class number, name, class meeting times and professors name). This information will be verified using your class schedule. If you are unable to attend Faculty Receptions due to other reasons, please explain those here. Please note that only valid reasons will exempt you from this requirement.
