Volunteer Experiences (Optional):

Peer Mentoring

You will have the opportunity to be a Fiat Lux peer mentor to 1st and 2nd year Fiat Lux Scholar(s). During the beginning of the Fall semester, you will have to attend 3 training sessions that will help you fulfill your role as a peer mentor. During the first month you will then be assigned your mentee(s) and you will be responsible for setting up a minimum of 3 meetings each 15 - 50mins long throughout the semester. This is a great way to gain new skills, volunteer experience, and resume content. This is a year long commitment starting in the Fall to the Spring.

Student Panel Workshop

You will have the opportunity to be a part of a student panel during a Fiat Lux Workshop. You will answer a set list of questions that students may want to know about your experiences, advice, etc. Your participation will help students that are less experienced in the college life learn from you. This will also help you reflect on your own experiences and will be great resume content.
